KATANA by TAKADA YUKINAGA   (69.9 CM.)

This is a very graceful Katana by Takada Yukinaga, who is very famous for the sharpness of his swords. He is rated Ryo Wazamono (very sharp) and is included in a list of swordsmiths who excelled in this, which was put together by the Yamada family, the official executioners and sword testers for the Tokugawa government. The blade is signed "Fujiwara Yukinaga", displays a Gonome Choji Midare Hamon, bears a Silver Foil Habaki and is mounted in a Shirasaya.
