Shimenawa Kozuka

This Kozuka displays the items used in the New Year celebrations, including the Shimenawa, the left handed woven straw rope used to ward off evil influences, the paper Gohei, which represent offerings of clothes to the Gods and fern leaves which symbolize prosperity. Carved in Shakudo on a Shakudo Nanako ground with gold and silver Uttori ferns and Gohei.
